چکیده

A recently isolated gold(I) complex, [Au(IPr)(OH)], permits the transformation of carboxylic acids to the corresponding decarboxylated gold(I)-aryl complex without the use of silver co-catalyst under mild reaction conditions.

N-heterocyclic carbene-stabilized gold nanoparticles and their assembly into 3D superlattices.

The facile one-phase synthesis of N-heterocyclic carbene-stabilized gold nanoparticles (NHC-AuNP) by reduction of NHC-gold(I) complexes and their self-assembly into 3D superlattices is presented.

Gold(I) complexes of N-heterocyclic carbene ligands containing benzimidazole: synthesis and antimicrobial activity.

Gold(I) N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) complexes were obtained in good yields from the corresponding silver complexes by treatment with [AuCl(PPh3)] following the commonly used silver carbene transfer route. The silver complexes were synthesized from the benzimidazolium halide salts by the in situ reactions with Ag2O in dichloromethane as a solvent at room temperature. All gold complexes have bee...

From betaines to anionic N-heterocyclic carbenes. Borane, gold, rhodium, and nickel complexes starting from an imidazoliumphenolate and its carbene tautomer

The mesomeric betaine imidazolium-1-ylphenolate forms a borane adduct with tris(pentafluorophenyl)borane by coordination with the phenolate oxygen, whereas its NHC tautomer 1-(2-phenol)imidazol-2-ylidene reacts with (triphenylphosphine)gold(I) chloride to give the cationic NHC complex [Au(NHC)2][Cl] by coordination with the carbene carbon atom. The anionic N-heterocyclic carbene 1-(2-phenolate)...

Chemoselective conversion of α-unbranched aldehydes to amides, esters, and carboxylic acids by NHC-catalysis.

Depending on the N-heterocyclic carbene catalyst utilized, α-unbranched aldehydes selectively provided amides, esters, or carboxylic acids through oxidation by NCS. The α-unbranched aldehyde underwent these reactions chemoselectively in the presence of an aromatic or α-branched aldehyde.

Dissymmetric gold(I) N-heterocyclic carbene complexes: a key unexpected structural parameter for highly efficient catalysts in the addition of alcohols to internal alkynes.

Gold(I) N-heterocyclic carbene complexes (Au-NHC) with symmetric (bis-benzyl, -propyl and -mesityl substituents) and dissymmetric (mesityl and alkyl--benzyl or propyl--substituents) NHC ligands were synthesized and tested as catalysts for the addition of methanol to 3-hexyne, as a representative internal alkyne. While symmetric ones--bis-alkyl (propyl or benzyl) or bis-mesityl systems--displaye...
